Berkeley Law Conversations: Initial Initiatives of the Biden Administration

Join Berkeley Law Dean Erwin Chemerinsky as he hosts a panel focused on education law, environmental law, immigration law, and labor law.

Speakers include:

Christopher Edley, The Honorable William H. Orrick, Jr. Distinguished Professor, Berkeley Law: A former dean of Berkeley Law, Edley’s academic work is in administrative law, civil rights, education policy, and domestic public policy generally. He has has moved between academia and public service, each enriching the other and together giving him broad familiarity with many areas of public policy. 

Daniel Farber, Sho Sato Professor of Law, Berkeley Law: Farber is also the faculty director of the Center for Law, Energy, and the Environment and has written and taught on environmental and constitutional law as well as about contracts, jurisprudence and legislation.

Catherine Fisk, Barbara Nachtrieb Armstrong Professor of Law, Berkeley Law: Fisk writes frequently about labor and employment law, and is the author of five books. Her recent articles cover a wide range of subjects including police unions, the history and current experiences of unionized writers in the entertainment industry. 

Leti Volpp, Robert D. and Leslie Kay Raven Professor of Law in Access to Justice: Volpp researches immigration and citizenship law with a particular focus on how law is shaped by ideas about culture and identity. She directs the campus-wide Center for Race and Gender at UC Berkeley.
