The Advocacy Competitions Program at Berkeley Law provides students with the opportunity to learn lawyering skills through moot court, mock trial and negotiations competitions. Students compete in four broad areas: alternative dispute resolution (ADR) and negotiations, appellate, international, and trial. Within these areas, students compete internally against other Berkeley Law students and externally against other law schools at regional, national and international competitions. Students who are selected for the external competition teams become members of the Berkeley Law Board of Advocates, a student organization comprised of all competitors across the Advocacy Competitions Program.
