Implementation of Humphrey: County by County

In conducting research for the report, Coming Up Short: the Unrealized Promise of In re Humphrey, the authors submitted requests pursuant to the California Public Records Act. These requests were sent to probation departments, sheriff departments, district attorney offices, and superior courts in all 58 California counties, as well as to the California Judicial Council, requesting data on pretrial release outcomes, internal policies, and correspondence related to the Humphrey decision. The clinic has created a folder for data from the 58 counties, as well as breaking the data out by county below:
