Join Law Students for Justice in Palestine in hosting a panel discussion featuring Laila El Haddad, Astha Sharm Pokharel and Berkeley Law Alumni Zainab Ramahi co sponsored by the Human Rights Center at Berkeley Law, the Miller Institute for Global Challenges and the Law, and the Berkeley Journal of International Law. We will be discussing the recent International Court of Justice case brought by South Africa against Israel for charges of genocide committed against the Palestinian people in Gaza. The discussion will be moderated by professor of Rhetoric Samera Esmeir. We will cover the legal and social implications of the ICJ trial, the significance of domestic legal advocacy amidst a climate of intense suppression of pro-Palestinian voices and more.
