on Thursday, March 12th from 12:50pm to 2:00pm in Room 10for an event exploring the intersection of issues of migration, labor, and animal rights. This event will present a speaker panel featuring:
- Susanna Chavez, an elected organizer at Direct Action Everywhere and former slaughterhouse worker, and
- Professor Andrés Cediel of UC Berkeley’s Graduate School of Journalism and one of the writer-director-producers of the PBS Frontline documentary “Trafficked in America,” exploring the plight of Guatemalan minors trafficked to the United States to work on an Ohio egg farm.
