A Prime Battleground for Social Justice – Veterans Law Seminar & Practicum Info Session

Did you miss the info session last week? Never fear, all students are invited to a virtual info session to learn more about the Veterans Law Seminar & Practicum (VLP).
The U.S. military is at the center of some of the most important social justice issues of our time: sexual assault, racism, and discrimination against LGBTQ+ individuals. VLP students are introduced to the impact of these and other issues on affected servicemembers and veterans and are armed with the substantive knowledge and lawyering skills necessary to fight these injustices.
Past VLP semesters have included an array of projects, such as advocacy on behalf of local unhoused veterans and deported immigrant veterans. VLP’s anticipated focus in Fall 2024 is advancement of Native American veterans’ rights.
