A Fireside Chat with Alumnus Steven Smith: The Founding of BJIL and the History of International Arbitration in California

BJIL is excited to host Steve Smith, international arbitrator/Jones Day Counsel, Berkeley law alum, and the founder of our journal (!!), for a fireside chat followed by a networking event. The event is scheduled for March 7th, from 5:00-7:30 — the first half (from 5:00-6:00) will be in room 130, the second half (from 6:00-7:30) will be at Freehouse. Steve Smith plans to discuss his time at Berkeley, his early career, and current research on the history of international arbitration in CA. Food and drink will be provided (at Freehouse) to those who RSVP.
