This "law and technology" and "advanced administrative law" seminar focuses on the relation between technology and governance. Topics include: how, and by whom, technology should be regulated; the use of technology to regulate behavior; the government's use of technology to make decisions; and the translation of law into technological forms. This class will be coordinated with a spring semester symposium hosted by the Berkeley Center for Law and Technology and the Berkeley Technology Law Journal, entitled "Translating Between Law and Technology."
This course may satisfy the Writing Requirement.
