This course examines the law of proof, with special attention to the Federal Rules of Evidence. Topics include relevance, hearsay, character evidence, authentication, competency, impeachment and rehabilitation, expert witnesses, scientific evidence, presumptions, and judicial notice.The course is based on assigned "problems" and class participation is mandatory. Enrollment is limited and preference will be given to third-year students. All enrolled students must attend the first class meeting in January or they will be dropped from the course.
