Event Navigation
Taking a practice exam is one of the best ways to prepare for law school exams! Practice helps you get comfortable with your skills and identify what you should prioritize as you study. The ASP in-person practice exam is a great opportunity to practice taking a law school exam under simulated exam conditions.
You should bring your laptop and a practice exam (ideally, a three- or four-hour exam). You must bring your own practice exam; no exam will be provided. Whether you should bring your outline and notes depends on whether you will have access to those materials on your exams. The point of the exercise is to simulate actual exam conditions
Resources for finding practice exams are available on the Academic Skills Program website. The practice exam does not need to be from your professor so long as the form of the question is the same.
If you haven’t finished reviewing and outlining, you should still take a practice exam, but consider taking it open book. Use the practice exam as an opportunity to start learning the material.
