Four Students Cap Summer Work as National Public Interest Fellows

Four UC Berkeley Law 3Ls who received coveted Justice John Paul Stevens Fellowships recently finished their funded summer work in otherwise unpaid public interest law internships, providing essential services and advocacy to empower clients and bolster nonprofit and government agencies that are vital in addressing unmet legal needs. Mariana Abreu-Costa (pictured) worked at the Contra Costa Public Defender’s Office, Simone Browne at Climate Rights International, Iris Haik at Equal Rights Advocates, and Medora Jones at the California Attorney General’s Office – Appeals, Writs, and Trials Unit.
