This seminar will focus on recent scholarship at the intersection of law and political economy. It will consider several current topics, including the legal foundations of capitalism; law and money; and neoliberalism and constitutionalism. Evaluation will be based on student participation, including substantial reading and class discussion; brief response papers; and a final in-class evaluation.
