In this seminar, we will take a deep dive into one or more advanced topics in energy law and policy. This year, the topics will be Nuclear and Geothermal energy generation. Both are forms of baseload power. Both are poised to take advantage of technological advances. And both count Republicans as well as Democrats among their supporters. We will examine the history and development of these forms of power generation and explore the legal, political and sociological contexts in which they exist today.
Students will work on a substantial paper in lieu of a final exam.
