The course is primarily designed for Option A students with a U.S. or Canadian J.D. (common law course of study) to take in conjunction with the capstone workshop in the fall. It emphasizes high-level research and analysis. Students will prepare written work typical of legal scholarship, involving sophisticated analysis of legal and related materials, and they will receive written and oral feedback from the Instructor. They will also have the opportunity to hear presentations of cutting-edge scholarship by members of the Berkeley faculty. Written work will include a draft of the Capstone Project that will be completed in the Fall semester.
Students interested in enrolling, must receive approval from Professor Farber.
