Logistics

The School of Law is located on the southeast corner of the UC Berkeley campus and overlooks the campus and San Francisco Bay.

The opening plenary session for the PATH Conference will take place in Booth Auditorium, located within the School of Law, and conference check-in will take place in the hallway outside Booth. Booth is located off of Bancroft Way, west of the corner of Bancroft way
and Piedmont Avenue (across from the International House). Look for a
stairway from the street into a courtyard. You will see double glass
doors straight ahead. Walk through them, turn right, and you will have
arrived at the entrance to Booth Auditorium.

Conference workshops will take place in Boalt Hall Rooms 100, 105, and 110 (on the first floor of the
law school). At the law school’s main
entrance on Bancroft Avenue (across the street
from Café Strada on College Avenue), you will see
doors on the left side of the patio. Entering
there will put you on the basement level of the
law school by Room 10. Go down the hallway and
take the stairs or elevator up one floor. Turn right out of the stairwell or elevator and walk straight ahead to reach the area where these lecture halls are located.

Directions from BART

If you’re coming to campus via BART, get off at the Berkeley
Station (also known as the “Downtown Berkeley” station) along the
Richmond line; it drops you off one block from the west side of campus.

From Shattuck Ave. and Allston Way near the BART station, you can take the AC Transit Bus lines 49A or 51B to College Ave. and Durant, one block along College Ave. from the Law School. There is also a taxi stand at Shattuck Ave. and Center St.

For those who enjoy walking, the west entrance to the
Berkeley campus is only one block away from the Downtown Berkeley BART
Station. The Law School is on the far side of the campus, about a 15-20
minute walk. A campus map is available here.

Local Airports

If you intend to arrive in the San Francisco Bay Area by air, consider flying into Oakland rather than San Francisco. The Oakland International Airport (OAK) is smaller and easier to manage than San Francisco International (SFO)—and it is closer to Berkeley. Both airports have information desks and extensive websites:

Oakland International: http://www.flyoakland.com/
San Francisco International: http://www.flysfo.com/

Further details about transportation from the aiport to Berkeley, via shuttles, taxis, or BART (the local rail system) are available here:
