Kristen Holmquist is a Teaching Professor of Law who joined the Berkeley Law faculty in 2008. She teaches constitutional law, contracts, and estates and trusts, as well as a handful of courses that more directly explore the human sides of lawyering. She writes and thinks about legal pedagogy and curriculum, and is especially focused on making law school a more equitable and inclusive space. As part of that effort, she helped build Berkeley Law’s Academic Skills Program.
Professor Holmquist has been honored with a number of teaching awards, including UC Berkeley’s Distinguished Teaching Award and the law school’s Rutter Award for Teaching Excellence.
