Cheryl Berg works with the Associate Dean of Teaching to plan and staff J.D. and LL.M. classes. She also assists individual instructors with pedagogy and course structure and development. She is co-Chair of the Lecturer Hiring and Review Committee and serves on the Curriculum/Student Affairs Committee and Berkeley Law AI Leadership Committee.
Berg previously spent eighteen years teaching in Berkeley Law’s first-year Legal Research, Analysis, and Writing Program, serving as the Program Director from 2024-2026. Before joining Berkeley Law, Berg spent twelve years in private practice at Sonnenschein Nath and Rosenthal (now Dentons) in the firm’s San Francisco office. She represented large and mid-size corporate clients in complex civil litigation and appellate matters, and provided corporate counseling and pre-litigation advice.
