Course description:

Insurance Law (3 units) This course focuses on the interpretation and enforcement of liability, property, health, life and other insurance contracts, including the liability of insurers for bad faith. Emphasis is on the function of insurance in civil litigation, business transactions, the protection of property and personal security. The course also examines the major role insurers perform in shaping public policy, such as the delivery of health care and crisis management.
