Overview

The Berkeley Journal of Employment and Labor Law (BJELL) offers summer grant funding to members interested in pursuing labor and employment positions.

Purpose

Funding is provided through The Sarah Kenyon Kraw Fund in Employment and Labor Law, which was established to support the BJELL and students involved in employment and labor law at Berkeley Law. The fund was established in memory of Mr. George Kraw's late wife and funds various causes and events related to the field. Information on the fund can be found on the Kraw Law Group's website.

Funding Available

A portion of the funds donated to BJELL will support summer grants for students pursuing non-profit or government positions, with the goal of retaining the student's affiliation with BJELL. Recipients must demonstrate academic merit and an interest in and commitment to the field of labor and employment law. If accepted, the student recipient may receive up to $2,000 in addition to their Berkeley Law PIPS Summer Fellowship Program ("Dean's Grants").
