As a social impact lawyer and social impact technologists he will further discuss the balances that need to be struck when dealing with issues of technology, data, information, intellectual property and public interest work.

the Patent Office, and Beyond”

Irell & Manella litigators Sandra Haberny ‘08 and Luke Burton will give a talk on patent litigation strategy four years after the America Invents Act. Patent litigation today often involves disputes pending in many places at once, including infringement cases before juries in district court, review proceedings before judges at the Patent Office, appellate proceedings at the Federal Circuit, and even parallel disputes in foreign countries.  Strategies are changing with the changing law, and what it’s like to be a patent litigator is changing just as quickly.

Every year, BCLT compiles resumes for 1L and 2L students who are looking for a summer job, and 3Ls who are looking for employment after graduation. We compile these resumes into separate books for 1Ls, 2Ls, and 3Ls and send them to BCLT sponsor law firms. This is another way to get your resume in front of prospective employers.  This year, we will also compile LLM resumes. NOTE: please recognize that BCLT sponsor firms hire very few LLMs who do not have a U.S. JD.
