Ph.D. student Joel Sati is among 30 nationwide winners of the Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowships for New Americans, which honor the contributions of immigrants and their children to the U.S. Sati, who immigrated from Kenya at age nine, will receive up to $90,000 in graduate education financial support over two years.
