3L Ezra Berger has led multiple sessions of Practical 101, an educational series on consumer legal issues presented by our Berkeley Center for Consumer Law & Economic Justice. A certified financial planner, Berger recently held a discussion on estate planning that explained essential documents, how certain account types and beneficiary designations can transfer assets directly without court involvement, the probate process, how to craft an estate plan, when to consult an attorney, how to protect your digital life, and what parents of minor children should consider. Previously, Berger led Practical 101 events focused on banking (including how to choose the right credit card and bank account) and credit reports.
