Our Certificate of Specialization in International Law was recently awarded to 34 graduating students (many pictured here with faculty) completing their J.D., LL.M., and J.S.D. degrees. The celebration included remarks by Dean Erwin Chemerinsky and students, international and comparative law faculty bestowing the certificates, and a festive reception. The curricular program ensures that students develop a broad background in fundamental legal areas and receive advanced training. Certificate requirements include the foundational four-unit International Law course, nine other course units in the International and Comparative Law category in Berkeley Law’s course listings, and a major research paper of 20 to 30 pages.
