Our Human Rights Center helped produce a new report about the killings of 13 Indigenous leaders and land defenders in Brazil from 2019 to 2022. Working with the nonprofit Cultural Survival, student researchers used online open source information to document each killing and track environmental erosion of Indigenous territories over time. Read more about the report and Brazil’s crises of violence against Indigenous Peoples and land exploitation.
