Film Screening: “Life After Life”

Raised in a world of drugs, violence, and trauma, three males went to prison before becoming adults—with sentences that could have kept them there for life. A new film, which chronicles their stories after being granted parole, was shown June 25 at Root & Rebound in Oakland. Director Tamara Perkins and some of the men in her film were on hand to speak. Led by Berkeley Law graduates Katherine Katcher ’13 and Sonja Tonnesen ’13, Root & Rebound helps people with criminal records reenter society.
