• The Arms Trade and International Criminal Law

  Monday, November 7, 2022 @ 12:30 pm – 2:00 pm Pacific; in-person in Warren/Law 295

  Lecture by Dr. Tomas Hamilton (University of Amsterdam) about his research and forthcoming book, The Arms Trade and International Criminal Law, exploring how international prosecutions have prioritized military and political actors, obscuring the role of business in atrocity and human rights violations. Dr. Hamilton has worked at the U.N. tribunal for the Khmer Rouge in Cambodia, in judicial chambers at the International Criminal Court, at a leading criminal law firm in London, and in journalism at the BBC. The event is moderated by Berkeley Law Professor Saira Mohamed. Lunch provided for those attending the event. RSVP here.
