Andrea Crider joins CLJC as a Staff Attorney/Lecturer, after working as a Deputy Public Defender at both Contra Costa and Solano Counties. In those roles, she’s handled everything from misdemeanors and felonies, to mental health converstorships, to complex post conviction cases. In addition, she has experience in civil legal aid after serving 4 years as a Senior Staff Attorney for Bay Area Legal Aid where she worked in the Reentry Unit. Andrea earned her B.A. in Political Science/History from UC Santa Barbara in 2009 and her J.D. from American University Washington College of Law in 2016, where she graduated cum laude. Prior to law school, she served in the United States Peace Corps from 2011-2013 in Singorwet, Kenya
