Leana Weissberg is a Research Fellow at the Center for Law, Energy & the Environment (CLEE) working on issues related to forests and wildfire in California. Before joining CLEE, she worked as a forester with the Bureau of Land Management and the Sierra Institute for Community & Environment. Her previous work involved planning and implementing forest management projects, including post-fire recovery; facilitation of a regional forest collaborative; and research and use of collaborative tools to increase the pace and scale of forest restoration.
Leana holds a Master of Environmental Science degree from the Yale School of the Environment, where she conducted research on evapotranspiration in an experimental watershed and completed a forest management apprenticeship with the Yale School Forests.
