Troy Duster is Senior Fellow at the Chief
Justice Earl Warren Institute on Law and Social Policy.  He is the former Director of the Institute
for the Study of Social Change and Chancellor’s Professor at the UC
Berkeley.  He is the past-president of
the American Sociological Association (2004-2005), former member of the Board
of Advisors of the Social Science Research Council, and he served as chair of
the Board of Directors of the Association of American Colleges and Universities
(2003-2004).   He is the author of Backdoor
to Eugenics,
and
relevant publications include: “What Were You Thinking? The
