The Warren Institute recently partnered with the California Immigrant Policy Center (CIPC) and other advocacy organizations to determine a research and advocacy plan on enforcement issues in California. This California Enforcement Working Group includes the ACLU of Southern California, the National Immigration Law Center, the American Friends Service Committee in San Diego and the Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights of Los Angeles. As part of the taskforce, we are helping create a survey of community-based groups throughout the state to identify law enforcement practices that target suspected undocumented immigrants. This work is being funded by a grant from the Evelyn and Walter Haas, Jr. Fund.
