Overview

The Global Innovation Leadership Scholars Program is a premier interdisciplinary and cross-cultural academic and training program designed for senior executives from industry and research institutions. The program seeks to establish an integrated research and learning community to conduct systematic research on the interconnections among technological innovation, innovative leadership, financial empowerment, corporate global expansion, financial management, and global legal and policy frameworks. The program integrates cutting-edge technology trends, innovation-driven development, AI-enabled leadership development, interdisciplinary research on finance and technology, and applied innovation case studies.

   

Program Structure

The program has a duration of 12 months and consists of one intensive session per quarter, totaling 24 days, including:

  • 17 days of offline in-person training in China (including mobile on-site teaching)
  • 5 days of thematic courses at UC Berkeley (with project or thesis defense)
  • 4 online research project tutoring sessions (equivalent to 2 full days)
  • Graduation ceremony at UC Berkeley Center for Law and Business

Eligibility and Cohort Size

  • PhD or equivalent degree or work experience required
  • Cohort size: 5-20 participants
  • International scholars welcome

Program Fee and Logistics

  • The fee covers all program-related academic expenses
  • Participants are responsible for:
    • Travel arrangements
    • Accommodation
    • Meals (except during program events)
    • Required documentation for studying in the United States
