Judges often describe their chambers as a family. The family feel may be strong and so are EDR protections that apply to employees. Issues of a legal and/or sensitive nature inevitably will arise in chambers. What the judge says, or does not say, in the moment, may affect the chambers’ culture and relationships beyond the discrete issue.
Join Berkeley Judicial Institute, Jonathan Segal and Chief Judge Pamela Pepper to talk through some of these issues.
In this 75-minute, interactive program, we will discuss:
- Answers to scenarios that may create a problem.
- Recommended “in the moment” responses to help the employee (caring carefully) and to preserve the integrity and warmth of chambers
