Fireside Chat

The Nelson Lecture will be followed by a fireside chat with Professor Price and Allison Schmitt. During the fireside chat, they will explore these governance and liability issues in more depth.

Allison Schmitt JD’15 serves as the first Director of the new BCLT Life Sciences Project. Upon graduating, Allison clerked for the Honorable Stanley R. Chesler at the District of New Jersey, where she worked extensively on ANDA cases. She then clerked for the Honorable Kathleen M. She then spent several years in private practice focusing on life science patent litigation, patent counseling, and policy matters.

CLE will be offered.

Reception and Careers Fair to follow immediately after Fireside Chat at 7:oo P.M.

BCLT Spring Tech Law Careers Fair

BCLT is pleased to invite all JD students to this year’s Spring Tech Law Careers Fair following the Nelson lecture, from 7:00 P.M. – 8:30 P.M., at the California Memorial Stadium. The purpose of this event is to introduce BCLT sponsors and Berkeley Law students for current and future hiring and networking. This careers fair is geared toward 1Ls as well as the 2Ls and 3Ls who mentor or would like more information on these firms and their approach to associate hiring, training, and development.

The lecture reception will help kick off conversations and the content of the lecture will provide great ice-breakers to connect with our sponsors.

Students are welcome to bring copies of their resumes for recruiters.
