Smith, S.E. “Reproductive Justice Is for Everyone, Even People You Don’t Like.” Forward. Reproductive Justice Is for Everyone, Even People You Don’t Like (blog), August 2010. http://disabledfeminists.com/2010/08/19/reproductive-justice-is-for-everyone-even-people-you-dont-like/.

Annotation

Smith argues that people with disabilities have been excluded from the reproductive justice movement and discussions. She argues that not addressing the concerns and needs of those with disabilities is ableism. Smith refers to recent cases about a visually impaired child being taken away from her visually impaired parents, a quadriplegic woman told she couldn’t be a good parent, and a women sterilized without her consent. Smith’s intended takeaway for the readers is that “reproductive justice should be all-encompassing.”
