Chelsea Snyder is a clinical supervising attorney in the Social Enterprise Clinic. Before joining the Berkeley Law faculty, she spent more than a decade as a transactional lawyer advising early- and growth-stage companies and mission-driven organizations. She previously served as fractional general counsel to founders and executives, advising on entity formation, commercial contracts, corporate governance, regulatory compliance, intellectual property, and data privacy and security. Prior to launching her own practice, she held a global in-house role at a Salesforce Ventures portfolio company where she advised cross-functional teams through cross-border transactions and periods of rapid growth.
Chelsea’s research examines the intersection of ethical lawyering, social entrepreneurship, and clinical pedagogy. Having founded her own ventures, she brings an entrepreneurial spirit to legal education and working with law students. She earned her JD at UC Law San Francisco, and her undergraduate degree is in political science from the University of Southern California.
