The Berkeley Center for Law and Business (BCLB) is sponsoring a summer internship at the Beijing Arbitration Commission. Established in 1995, the commission offers services in arbitration, mediation, and other dispute resolution procedures. It has accepted more than 15,000 cases since its creation in 1995, with parties coming from such jurisdictions as the United States, England, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Australia, Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan. The internship provides a chance for students to broaden their knowledge about Chinese dispute resolution mechanisms and legal practice. Applications are due on January 24, 2011.
