Casebooks and Textbooks

The Law Library has made arrangements with some of the major academic publishers to provide free remote access to casebooks and other materials.  Unfortunately, not all Course Reserve materials come from these publishers, so some materials may remain unavailable electronically.

Wolters Kluwer

Access is only to titles adopted by our Berkeley Law faculty. Here are the access instructions:
  1. To get started, go to bookshelf.vitalsource.com and log-in or create a Bookshelf account with your LAW SCHOOL EMAIL ADDRESS (berkeley.edu). VitalSource will not allow access to non-school email addresses (like gmail.com).
  2. Once you create an account, you will receive an email verifying your email address. From there, you can login and click on the “Explore” tab in the upper left corner of the screen. This tab provides access to the freely available e-books.

Watch a short video on how to log in, access titles and use the tools. For a complete list of VitalSource FAQs, please visit https://support.vitalsource.com/hc/en-us/articles/360044467714-Publisher-FAQ or https://get.vitalsource.com/vitalsource-helps.
