The Law Library has made arrangements with some of the major academic publishers to provide free remote access to casebooks and other materials. Unfortunately, not all Course Reserve materials come from these publishers, so some materials may remain unavailable electronically.
Here are instructions on creating a Bookshelf account for both students and instructors.
Once you create an account, you will receive an email verifying your email address. From there, you can login and click on the “Explore” tab in the upper left corner of the screen. This tab provides access to the freely available e-books.
This page provides information on how to access digital materials through the VitalSource Helps Program and the new CasebookConnect.com/Free page; distance learning articles for both students and faculty; and on-going updates on how the COVID-19 crisis is affecting Legal Education.
To access the West Academic Assessment materials, go to https://eproducts.westacademic.com. The assessments cover 23 subjects. You will need to create an account using your Berkeley email (@berkeley.edu). For an overview of these materials and how to create an account, watch this West Academic video. If you have trouble accessing the materials or creating an account, email West Academic at email@example.com.
For easy reading offline, be sure to download the LexisNexis Digital Library app from either the Google Play™ store or Apple® Store.
Use library code: BERKELEY
