Some of the library’s collection (such as certain periodicals and superseded material) is kept in on-site storage and the location in LawCat says “Request to Retrieve.”
How do I request an item?
- Click on the "Request to Retrieve" link in the catalog. You will be prompted for your Calnet ID and Passphrase. The request form will be filled out with some information automatically. Make sure the information is correct and add any more details that would help locate the specific item you need.
- Complete a Paging Request card; the cards are available at the Circulation desk. Please be as specific as possible and include:
- Title of item
- Call number
- Complete one card for each item.
- Turn in the completed Paging Request card(s) to the Circulation desk.
5 items per person per day may be paged.
When can I pick up my requested materials?
Paging is done Monday through Friday. Materials can be collected at the Circulation desk per the paging schedule below. Material will be held for 7 days.
|Submit request||Check Circulation desk|
|by 2 p.m.||after 3 p.m. same day|
If there is a problem filling your request, the issue will be noted on the back of your Paging Request card when you come to pick up your requested items.
If you have any questions about the materials you wish to have retrieved, please see the librarians at the Reference desk.
