Institutional Capacity – Building

Berkeley Law School recognizes that key changes occurring in legal systems around the world present an opportunity to have impact on leading universities, government regulators and other policy-making institutions.  Toward this goal,  IELE is engaged with a number of leading universities and key government institutions around the world in developing institutional capacity related to teaching, research and curriculum development about law-related subjects.   These development initiatives include:

  • Joint program and curriculum development
  • Joint research collaborations
  • Specialized training programs for overseas lawyers and professionals
  • Sponsorship of overseas visiting researchers and scholars
  • Design of accelerated study programs
