This is convenient if you want to make changes to your syllabus and have it appear in bCourse in real-time. To enable this, click the Google Drive icon (see below screenshot) in the rich-content-editor (for example, in the Syllabus description page), open Google Drive and click the file(s) you want to link. Accept “Attach” when it asks you if you want to attach the file and then click “Update Syllabus”. Make changes to your syllabus in Google Drive. Return to bCourse Syllabus page and refresh the page, you will see your most recent updates.

In bCourses, go to Settings > Navigation, locate the tool you want to enable or disable and click on it to activate or deactivate it. Once you’re done, scroll all the way to the bottom of the page and click Save

Get an immediate email copy of your class announcements

By default, you get one email per day detailing all the announcements you have made during that day. But most faculty prefer to get an immediate copy of their class announcements. Here is how to change your notification settings to get copies of announcements right away. Please note that if you have not published your course, your announcements will not get emailed to students. Also ensure that the notification email for the announcement does not get sent to you and your students Email Spam or Clutter folders.

How to Sign up for an Appointment using Scheduler

In bCourses, go to Calendar > Scheduler, locate the appointment you want to sign up for and click on sign up for this. Find a time slot that works for you and click on Reserve to confirm:

If you don’t see the appointment you’re looking for, make sure it’s active on the right Calendar sidebar.
