How to Give

How I can give online?

Simply make a pledge via this page and you will receive information on how to give online or mail a check.

Can my gift be matched?

Your firm or company might make matching gifts. The Development and Alumni Relations team is happy to help with any necessary paperwork.

What counts as a gift?

Any gift or pledge payment to Berkeley Law made during the current fiscal year (July 1, 2019-June 30, 2020) will count towards participation in Partners in Leadership. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • a payment on a current pledge IF the pledge was made during the current fiscal year
  • a class reunion gift – if you graduated in a year ending in 0 or 5 and make your reunion year gift by June 30, 2020, it will count both towards Partners in Leadership and your class campaign totals
  • a gift to a restricted law school fund or scholarship
  • a company matching gift

How much should I give?

We encourage you to give an amount that is reasonable for your means. During the 2018-2019 Partners in Leadership campaign, law firm partners and general counsels gave, on average, in the range of $2,000-$3,000 with some giving much more. Associates and more recent graduates gave an average of $150 with some gifts being $500 or more.
