Case Notes

Case One

The Veterans Law Practicum assisted A.S. in his efforts to convince the VA that he was entitled to 100% disability benefits. A.S. was originally discharged other than honorably for behavioral issues, which led to limitations on the benefits to which he was entitled. Practicum students reviewed voluminous medical records and prepared A.S. for a new evaluation, which established that his psychiatric conditions were service connected. Based on this new information, the VA found that his psychiatric disorder was service-connected, and granted 100% benefits, calculated all the way from 2007.
