1L Participation
1L Participation in the Advocacy Competitions Program
1) External Competitions
- 1Ls are eligible to try out for the Board of Advocates ADR/Negotiations and Trial Teams, but may not compete during the Fall semester of their 1L year.
2) Internal Competitions
- 1Ls NOT on Board of Advocates and alternates NOT competing that academic year:
- May compete in the Bales Trial Competition;
- May compete in the Halloum Negotiations Competition.
- 1Ls Competing on the Trial Team:
- May compete in the Halloum Business Competition only if there is space available after all eligible and interested 2Ls, 3Ls, and LL.M.s have signed up;
- May compete in the PINT Mock Trial Competition;
- May compete in the Halloum Negotiations Competition;
- 1Ls on the ADR/Negotiations Team:
- May compete in the Halloum Business Competition only if there is space available after 2Ls, 3Ls, and LL.M.s have signed up;
- May compete in the Bales Mock Trial Competition;

Transfer, 2L, and 3L Participation in the Advocacy Competitions Program
1) External Competitions
- Transfers, 2Ls, and 3Ls are eligible to try out for and compete in all external competitions.
2) Internal Competitions
- Transfers, 2Ls, and 3Ls NOT on Board of Advocates:
- Transfers, 2Ls, and 3Ls may compete in the Halloum Business Competition;
- Transfers, 2Ls, and 3Ls may compete in the McBaine Moot Court Honors Competition
- Transfers, 2Ls, and 3Ls on the Moot Court Team:
- Transfers, 2Ls, and 3Ls may compete in the Halloum Business Competition;
- Transfers, 2Ls, and 3Ls may compete in McBaine Moot Court Honors Competition
- Transfers, 2Ls, and 3Ls on the Trial Team:
- Transfers, 2Ls, and 3Ls may compete in the Halloum Business Competition;
- Transfers, 2Ls, and 3Ls may compete in McBaine Moot Court Honors Competition;
- May compete in the PINT Mock Trial Competition
- Transfers, 2Ls, and 3Ls on the ADR/Negotiations Team:
- Transfers, 2Ls, and 3Ls may compete in the Halloum Business Competition;
- May compete in McBaine Moot Court Honors Competition
LL.M. Participation
LL.M. Participation in the Advocacy Competitions Program
1) External Competitions
- LL.M. students may be eligible to compete in international law competitions through the ADR and Moot Court Teams
- LL.M. students may be qualified to serve as a coach for international law competitions
2) Internal Competitions
- LL.M. students may compete in the Halloum Business Competition.
- LL.M. students may compete in the McBaine Moot Court Honors Competition
