Yasmine Agelidis
Yasmine Agelidis is a 2L from San Diego, California. She graduated from UC Berkeley in 2012 with a major in Political Science and minors in Conservation and Resource Studies and Global Poverty and Practice.
Before coming to law school, she worked at Feeding America San Diego, and helped distribute food to nearly 500,000 San Diegans. In addition to competing on the Berkeley Law ADR team, Yasmine is a Legal Research & Writing teaching assistant, a Senior InSITE Fellow, and an active member of the Berkeley Technology & Law Journal. She spent her 1L summer as a judicial extern for the Honorable Judge Reinhardt on the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit in Los Angeles.
In her free time, Yasmine enjoys cycling and hiking.

Alejandro Almodovar
Alejandro Almodovar is a 2L from Los Angeles, California. He graduated from The George Washington University in 2013 with a major in Political Science and a minor in International Affairs.
Before coming to law school, he worked at Schultz & Trombly, a personal injury and medical malpractice law firm, as a paralegal. In addition to competing on the Berkeley Law ADR Advocacy team, Alejandro is the Supervising Editor of the Business Law Journal and an Articles Editor of the Berkeley Law La Raza Journal. He spent his 1L summer at Fenwick & West, a Silicon Valley based law firm. He will be spending his 2L summer back at Fenwick & West and also at Morrison & Foerster, specializing in corporate law.
In his free time, Alejandro enjoys playing and watching soccer (especially Chelsea F.C.), cooking, and exploring new places.

Simone Friedlander
- ADR/Negotiations Director
Simone hails from Los Angeles, CA, where she grew up wanting to be a powerful entertainment executive or a princess. After learning in AP US Government that America is generally anti-monarchy, Simone focused her energy on learning everything she could about the entertainment industry, pursuing a degree in Media Management at Cal State Northridge and serving as a producer and production manager for CSUN’s film production program. She has interned and worked at several major media companies, including Warner Bros., CBS Studios, and CollegeHumor.com. Her work experience fostered an interest in negotiation theory and practice, new media development, and comedy.
In addition to her role as a Director of Berkeley Law’s ADR Advocacy Team, Simone is the External Relations Editor of the Berkeley Technology Law Journal and the JD Liaison for Berkeley Law’s Entertainment Network Development alumni association. When she’s not Directing, Externally Relating, or Liaising, Simone likes to spend time volunteering at the Berkeley animal shelter, studying at Philz Coffee, or sleeping. Mostly she enjoys sleeping.

Colin Furlow
Colin Furlow is a 2L from Sacramento, California. He graduated from UC Santa Cruz in 2012 with a major in American Studies.
Before coming to law school, he worked as a legal clerk for the Yolo County Superior Court. In addition to competing on the Berkeley Law ADR team, Colin is a staff editor for the Berkeley Business Law Journal. He spent his 1L summer at the Public Interest Law Project, an Oakland-based non-profit, where he worked on impact litigation for affordable housing.

Alyssa Golay
Alyssa Golay is a 2L from Loma Linda, California. She graduated from UCLA in 2013 with a double major in Communication Studies and Political Science and a minor in Global Studies.
Before coming to law school, she worked at UCLA as a administrative assistant in the Communication Studies Department. In addition to competing on the Berkeley Law ADR team, Alyssa is a Development Editor for the Berkeley Business Law Journal, a Symposium Editor for the Asian American Law Journal, and Co-President of the Boalt Healthcare & Biotech Law Society. She spent her 1L summer at Baker Botts, LLP in Palo Alto, CA and her 2L summer will be split between Baker Botts and at Hogan Lovells in Washington, DC specializing in healthcare transactions.
In her free time, Alyssa enjoys baking pastries and training for half-marathons.

Breanna Jones
Breanna is a 2L from Modesto, California. She graduated from Stanford University in 2012 with a major in Public Policy.
Before coming to law school, she worked in Oakland as a high school math teacher. In addition to competing on the Berkeley Law ADR Advocacy team, Breanna is the Web Director of the Berkeley Journal of Criminal of Law, the VP of Finance of the Boalt Hall Women’s Association, a teacher for Juvenile Hall Outreach, and a member of the California Law Review. She spent her 1L summer at the Alameda County Public Defender’s Office in Oakland specializing in the Clean Slate Program.
In her free time, Breanna enjoys salsa-dancing, windsurfing, and playing soccer.

Bilal Malik
Bilal Malik is a 2L from Berkeley, California. He graduated from UC Berkeley in 2013 with a major in Cognitive Science and minors in Public Policy and Global Poverty & Practice.
Before coming to law school, he worked at the Olive Children Foundation as a debate instructor. In addition to competing on the Berkeley Law ADR Advocacy team, Bilal is an Articles Editor for the Berkeley Technology Law Journal. He spent his 1L summer at Munger, Tolles & Olson, a Los Angeles based law firm.

Sarah Manasevit
Sarah Manasevit is a 3L from Washington D.C. She graduated from University of Maryland, College Park in 2012 with a major in Women’s Studies.
In addition to competing on the Berkeley Law ADR team, Sarah was a submissions editor for the Berkeley Law Business Journal and an active member of the Berkeley Law Foundation. She spent her 1L summer at the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Washington D.C. and her 2L summer working jointly with the New Orlean’s District Attorney’s Office and a non-profit, called Community Mediations Services, to develop a restorative justice based diversion program for youth.
Sarah is passionate about working with youth, and hopes to specialize in restorative justice work aimed at minimizing juveniles’ contact with the criminal justice system. In addition Sarah enjoys yoga and dancing.

Sarah Pace
Sarah Pace is a 1L from suburban Philadelphia, PA. She graduated from Brandeis University in 2013 with a double major in Political Science and Italian Studies, and a minor in Music. Before coming to law school, she worked at Weitz & Luxenberg, P.C. as a paralegal in New York City. Sarah is very excited to be a brand new member of the ADR Advocacy team at Berkeley Law. In her free time, Sarah enjoys singing, playing piano, going to the theater, and taking long walks.

Michelle Peleg
Michelle Peleg is a 2L from Los Angeles, CA. She graduated from Washington University in St. Louis in 2013 with a major in Political Science and a minor in Organizational Behaivor.
In addition to competing on the Berkeley Law Alternative Dispute Resolution Advocacy team, Peleg is the co-President of Boalt Hall Jewish Student Association and Co-Mentorship Chair of Berkeley Journal of Criminal Law. She spent her 1L summer at the United State’s Attorney’s Office in San Francisco as a law clerk in the Criminal Division.
In her free time, Peleg enjoys yoga, exploring the Bay Area, and all dark chocolate covered food.

Kristina Pham
Kristina Pham is a 2L from San Jose, CA – home of her beloved San Jose Sharks. She graduated from UC San Diego in 2012 as a double-major in Political Science and Philosophy. Prior to law school, she served as a Teach for America Corps Member to a rambunctious and awesome group of 4th graders in San Jose, CA as a special education teacher. In addition to competing on the Berkeley Law ADR Advocacy team, Kristina is a technical editor for the Berkeley Technology Law Journal.
In her free time, Kristina enjoys staying number one in her fantasy hockey league, brushing up on Disneyland happenings, and discovering the best eats in the Bay Area.

Alix Pisani
Alix is a 3L from Oakland, California. She graduated from UC Berkeley in 2011 with a degree in Geography.
Before coming to law school, she worked for the Oakland Unified School District as a legal secretary. In addition to competing on the Berkeley Law ADR team, she is an Executive Editor for ELQ. She spent her 1L summer as a judicial extern at SF Superior Court and her 2L summer at WilmerHale’s Los Angeles office.
In her free time, Alix enjoys swimming and traveling.

Nikhil Sharma
Nikhil Sharma is a 2L from Pleasanton, California. He graduated from UCLA in 2011 with a major in Political Science. Before coming to law school, he worked at the U.S. Department of Justice, Antitrust Division as a Paralegal. In addition to competing on the Berkeley Law ADR team, Nikhil is the Co-President of South Asian Law Student Association. He spent the summer after his 1L year as a legal intern at Salesforce.com.

Ryan Shuman
Ryan Shuman is a 2L from Minneapolis, Minnesota. He graduated from the University of San Diego in 2013 with a major in English and a minor in Business Law.
Before coming to law school, he worked at Dechert LLP as a Finance and Real Estate Case Assistant. Prior to transferring and joining the Berkeley Law Alternative Dispute Resolution team, Ryan was the only 1L to compete in two competitions for the UC Hastings College of Law ADR. He spent his 1L summer working at Sungevity Inc., a solar company headquartered in Oakland, California. At Sungevity, he assisted with all facets of in-house legal work, furthering his interest in transactional corporate law.
In his free time, Ryan enjoys discovering new restaurants, live music and spending time with his friends.

Olivier Sinoncelli
Olivier Sinoncelli is a 2L from San Francisco, California. He graduated from UCSB in 2013 with a double major in Environmental Studies and Global Studies.
Before coming to law school, he worked at an international consulting firm as an analyst and environmental planner. In addition to competing on the Berkeley Law ADR Advocacy team, Olivier is an Articles Editor for the Berkeley Journal of International Law, an InSITE Fellow, and a member of the Berkeley Law First Generation Professionals group. He spent his 1L summer at Keegin Harrison LLP, a San Rafael-based law firm.
In his free time, Olivier enjoys traveling, spending time outdoors, cooking, yoga, and surfing.

Erika K. Solanski
Erika K. Solanki is a 2L at Berkeley Law (’17) interested in practicing transactional law. She graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles (’12), summa cum laude. She served as a Diversity Legal Fellow at Munger, Tolles & Olson LLP in Los Angeles from July 2013 to June 2014. Upon completion of her first year at Berkeley Law, Erika served as a Skadden 1L Scholar in Palo Alto, spending 6 weeks at the firm and 4 weeks at a client secondment with Visa Inc. in Foster City. Erika is interested in emerging markets, cross-border transactions, and international tax issues. She is also interested in emerging companies, fund formation, and venture capital.

Before coming to law school, she worked at El Meouchi Law Firm in Beirut, Lebanon as a Legal Trainee. In addition to competing on the Berkeley Law ADR team, Yasmine participates in the Middle Eastern and Islamic Law Journal, as well as in the Foster Education Project.

Yu Tanebe
Yu Tanebe is a 2L from Tokyo, Japan. He graduated from Duke University in 2009 with a double major in Economics and Political Science. He graduated from Yale University in 2010 with a Master’s degree in International and Development Economics.
Before coming to law school, he worked at Ernst & Young in New York City as an economic consultant. In addition to competing on the Berkeley Law ADR Advocacy team, Yu is the Senior Editor of the Berkeley Business Law Journal, and the Commentaries Editor of the Berkeley Technology Law Journal. He spent his 1L summer at Nishimura & Asahi, a Tokyo-based law firm, and will be spending his 2L summer at Sullivan & Cromwell in New York City, specializing in corporate law.
In his free time, Yu enjoys playing soccer and ice hockey.

Chelsea Turner
Chelsea Turner is a 2L from Aptos, California. She graduated in 2010 with a BA in History from UC Berkeley. She further earned an MA in International Peace and Security from King’s College London in 2012.
Before coming to law school, Chelsea managed a humanitarian organization in Uganda and then worked for several dispute resolution groups in England. In addition to competing on the Berkeley Law Alternative Dispute Resolution Team, Chelsea is an associate editor on the Berkeley Journal for International Law, a member of the Berkeley Business Law Journal, a mentor for the Boalt Hall Women’s Association, and a member of the First Generation Professionals Group. Chelsea spent her 1L summer working in-house at Earnest, where she advised on federal consumer finance regulations and and assisted on corporate transactions.

Faye Whiston
Faye is a 2L from Waterbury, Connecticut. She graduated from Williams College in 2010 with a major in Spanish. Before coming to law school, she worked at Sanford Heisler, a plaintiff-side employment firm. In addition to competing on the Berkeley Law ADR Advocacy Team, Faye is on the Editorial Board of the Berkeley Technology Law Journal and serves on the Executive Boards of the Women’s Association and the First Generation Professionals Association.

Alex Williamson
Alex Williamson is a 1L from Newport Beach, CA. She graduated from UCLA in 2014 with a major in Economics.
Before coming to law school, she worked at Cox, Castle and Nicholson as a litigation assistant. In addition to competing on the Berkeley ADR Advocacy Team, Alex is a contributing editor of the Berkeley Business Law Journal and a member of the Boalt Hall Animal Law Society.
Alex is an avid foodie, and spends most of her free time thinking about new ways to incorporate more ice cream into her diet. She also enjoys swimming, playing soccer, and scuba diving, and is passionate about implementing legal solutions for the protection of animal rights.

Jonathan Wilson
Jonathan Wilson is a 2L from Sacramento, CA. He graduated from the University of Southern California in 2013 with a double major in Neuroscience and Political Science.
Before coming to law school, he worked as a behavior therapist for children with autism. In addition to competing with the ADR team, he is the Editor-in-Chief of the Berkeley Journal of African American Law and Policy, a research assistant for Professor Talha Syed, and the Programming Director for the Coalition for Diversity.
He spent his 1L summer at the Office of the Attorney General of California – Health, Education, and Welfare Section in Sacramento. He will spend his 2L summer at Latham & Watkins in Silicon Valley.
In his spare time, Jonathan plays the trombone, cooks, and reads literary fiction and science fiction.

Maya Ziv

Maya is a 3L from Cupertino, CA. He/She graduated from UCLA in 2011 with a major in Bioengineering.
Before coming to law school, he/she worked as a PR associate for biotech and life science companies. In addition to her role as the director of the Berkeley Law ADR Advocacy team, Maya is the Submissions Editor of BTLJ and a Tutor for LTWW. She spent her 1L summer as an Extern at the the Northern District of California courthouse in San Francisco, and her 2L summer at Skadden, specializing in IP transactions and Patent Litigation. Maya is also on the Associate Board of National Novel Writing Month, a Berkeley-based non-profit dedicated to encouraging people of all ages to practice creative writing.
