Wednesday, March 18, 2026 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Free
What's Changing in SNAP? Wednesday, March 18th 6-7 PM, Room 170. Refreshments will be served. We’ll discuss the growing number of states restricting purchase of “unhealthy” foods, changes to work requirements, and how these changes may impact enrollment and food access. Speakers: Jodie Berger, Western Center on Law and Poverty; Andrew Cheyne, County Welfare Directors' Association of California; Gabby Davidson, California Association of Food Banks; Tess Thorman, Public Policy Institute of California.
Join FJP, FIGC, GSPP, and Connections at Berkeley to learn more about ongoing changes to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). We’ll hear from experts on food restriction waivers, work requirements, and how the two are connected, plus advice on how to become a food security advocate.

The event will be held at the Law School in Room 170, and will begin promptly at 6:00 PM. Refreshments will be served. Please RSVP.
