PrivLAB, WiTL, & BTLJ present: “Data is the New Oil” – Recent Trends in Antitrust and Privacy Issues

Wednesday, September 11, 2019 @ 12:45 pm - 1:45 pm

Does “big data” give certain companies competitive advantage? Should “data monopolies” be broken up? Privacy Law at Berkeley (PrivLab), Women in Tech Law (WiTL), and Berkeley Technology Law Journal (BTLJ) are pleased to host Jeewon Kim Serrato, Head of Data Protection, Privacy and Cybersecurity at Norton Rose Fulbright LLP, who will present an overview of the new California Consumer Privacy Act, FTC’s enforcement priorities, and key enforcement and litigation risks to watch for in 2020.

Lunch will be provided (first come, first serve). BTLJ members can use this talk as one of their 10 lunch hours towards their hours requirements.
