Join the UC Berkeley Criminal Law & Justice Center and the AI and Justice Consortium for an interactive discussion exploring how AI governance principles play out in real-world justice tools.
This event will cover:
- AI governance frameworks, including the Council on Criminal Justice’s recent guidelines (Christopher Edley III, AI and Justice Consortium)
- Design thinking in justice AI tools (Dane Worthington, Director of AI Strategy, Center for Employment Opportunities)
- Where AI fails ethical benchmarks and what’s at stake (Ianina Gabriela Lipara & Imaan Maftah, Berkeley Criminal Law and Justice Center)
