Monday, August 17, 2026 @ 12:50 pm - 2:00 pm

Attention: 1Ls, LLMs, and transfer students!

Did you come to Berkeley Law to participate in public interest, pro bono, and social justice work?

The Public Interest and Social Justice Orientation is for you! At this kickoff event, you will have the opportunity to learn about the various public interest offices and resources available at the law school and connect with your fellow classmates. If you came to Berkeley Law to participate in public interest, pro bono, and/or social justice work and want to know more about the many different ways you can do that during your time here, join us!

A burrito lunch will be provided starting at 12:45 p.m. outside Booth Auditorium. After a short presentation in Booth, students will gather in Steinhart Courtyard to mingle with their fellow students and meet the different public interest offices.

This event is hosted by the Public Interest Working Group (PIWG) which is made up of staff members from the Career Development Office, Clinical Program, East Bay Community Law Center, Field Placement Program, Financial Aid Office, Henderson Center for Social Justice, LL.M. Career Advising Program, and Pro Bono Program.
