LPE at Berkeley Law Happy Hour and Discussion
Wednesday, March 18, 2026 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Join LPE for a happy hour and discussion at Free House on Wednesday, March 18 at 5pm!
In the face of escalating, violent crises, progressive law students are searching for ways to understand the current moment and our role in it. As doctrinal classes rarely allow space to explore the relationship between law and organizing, lawyers and movement-builders, we hope that this happy hour can serve as an opportunity to come together and discuss how to forge solidarity across interests and institutions. We plan to ground the happy hour in a conversation about movement lawyering and recent LPE writing on the topic. We’ve included some (optional!) reading below.
Movement Law Under Fascism by Amna Akbar, Sameer Ashar, Jocelyn Simonson
Whistling at the Edge of Law by Emmanuel Mauleón
