Let Kids Read! Fighting Book Bans with Dan Novack
Monday, February 10, 2025 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm
Event Navigation

Please join Mass Media at Berkeley Law and the Henderson Center for Social Justice for a conversation with Dan Novack — Vice President, Associate General Counsel of Penguin Random House — regarding his experience suing states that enact book bans. In addition to pushing for students’ freedom to read, Novack’s commitment to uncovering truth and ensuring our First Amendment rights push him to uplift good journalism through pro-bono cases on public records requests. Together, we can learn about what it means to carve out activism in unlikely places and join the fight to free up knowledge for all.
These events are open only to UC Berkeley Law students, faculty, and staff, unless otherwise noted.
